Microsoft are certainly proud of their latest Windows 7 operating system with massive sales right from the get go at launch.

A new milestone has just been reached; licensed sales have reached beyond the 100 million mark, which when looking at the time since it launched is indicative of it being the fastest selling Windows operating system, ever. The first 60 million copies were said to have been sold by the end of 2009 and another 30 million were snapped up by March. Clearly there's a lot of love for Windows 7 far and wide.
