Patriot releases super fast 2500MHz DDR3 kits

By: (more) | RAM News | Posted: Apr 27, 2010 6:37 am

Patriot has just claimed to have brought the world's fastest DDR3 memory to market with its new Viper II series Sector 5 Edition memory kit that boasts rated speeds of 2500MHz.

The kit comprises 2x2GB modules and thus is suited to Intel's P55 platform. The modules run at their rated 2500MHz speed thanks to more relaxed latencies of 9-11-9-27.

As a member of their top-end Viper II Sector 5 series, the modules sport larger than usual heat spreaders with aluminum fins protruding out the top to better assist in heat dissipation.

Patriot also offers Viper II Sector 5 series modules with speed ratings of 2400MHz and 2133MHz. All kits carry with them lifetime warranties.
