2nd Edition News For Today

| Posted: Jan 1, 1970 12:00 am

Well am I glad that I got that early edition of the news off so here's the second lot for today as CEBit 2002 rolls on.

There are a few Press Releases out today so I'll give you a quick run down on them.

- ASUS gives us details on their V8460Ultra GeForce 4 Ti 4600 Graphics Card
And don't forget to check out the ASUS CEBiT 2002 Website either as it has some good things there as well popping up.

- Compaq announces that it will be supplying nForce-Powered AMD Platforms for Presario customers.

- Even though STMicro wants out of the graphics card business that hasn't stopped both Hercules and PowerVR from announcing products based on the KYRO II SE(tm) Graphics Processor.

- AMD also announces its transition to 0.13 Micron Technology.

- Angstrom Microsystems is now selling its Racer Series - Quad2000 which comprises of 4 Athlon MP 2000+ CPUs in a 1U form factor.

2CPU.com is one of the first out with a review on the AMD Athlon MP 2000+ CPU along with Tom's Hardware who pits it against the Xeon 2200 so go and check them both out.

ATi Technologies announced two series integrated products, one based on a recently announced technology licensing pact with Intel for the Pentium 4 processors and the other aimed at supporting AMD's Athlon and AMD Duron chips at CEBiT 2002.
AnandTech gives us the low down on these rivals to nVidia's nForce.

8Dimensional now offers a Game Review List. This means lists with links to the most popular games reviewed
in the last few months on the Internet. The lists already contain more then 2000 game reviews, most PC games, but also console game reviews are listed as well.

Adrian's Rojak Pot has been having a lot of bad luck lately and still continues with another forced move to http://www.rojakpot.net. So change those bookmarks again folks.

After a few months of down time, CuttingTheEdge.com returns with a few features that will get you going. Along with a mouse and mouse pad review they have also included info on what American McGee, the man behind that small *cough* Alice game, has been up too. Along with those features they have plopped out 10 new Max Payne backgrounds, along with 13 Return To Castle Wolfie backgrounds so head over there and take a look around.

Here's some more AMD Athlon XP 2100+ reviews for those interested.
