SilverStone release high powered SFX form factor PSU

By: (more) | Cases, Cooling & PSU News | Posted: Apr 22, 2010 1:14 pm

Got a well spec'd up SFF system and finding it hard to pair it with a decent enough SFX form factor PSU? SilverStone come to the rescue with their new SFX Form Factor PSU that while only measuring 125 mm (W) × 63.5 mm(H) × 100 mm(D), can deliver up to 450W of continuous power.

The unit runs a single +12V rail and a single 36A rail with 80 Plus Bronze certification thanks to its efficiency of 82 to 85%. All the standard power connectors required for most systems are resident; 24-pin ATX, 8-pin EPS, a 6+2-pin PCI-E, a 6-pin PCI-E, three SATA power connectors, two Molex and one Floppy.

Other features jam packed into this tidy little unit include active PFC, over/under-voltage and current protection as well as assisted cooling by means of an 80mm fan (rated with minimum noise output of 18 dBA).

While the unit can mount into SFX form factor cases out of the box, it also comes bundled with an SFX to ATX bracket that gives the ability to mount it to standard ATX and M-ATX chassis'.

SilverStone is shifting this power supply at around 60 Euros (about 80 bucks U.S.).
