No new 3DS details offered in interview

| Gaming News | Posted: Apr 13, 2010 4:06 pm

Nintendo America is set to launch what it calls its most important product since 2004. The product is the new Nintendo 3DS and the device is set to hit stores sometime this fiscal year.

The 3DS will allow gamers to play 3D games on the portable console without needing to wear glasses to view the 3D content. Nintendo America's Reggie Fils-Aime talked with BusinessWeek on the topic, but offered no new details.

The only new insight offered in the interview was that Nintendo feels the launch of the 3DS is its most important since 2004 when it moved from the Game Boy to the DS. Nintendo certainly has high hopes for the DS.
