Super Talent intros new line of entry level SSDs from 8 to 64GB

By: (more) | Storage News | Posted: Apr 9, 2010 9:04 am

The folks at Super Talent have just introduced a new range of SSDs to market aimed at budget conscious people looking to get a nice taste of SSD performance while not breaking the bank.

Super Talent calls the new series Value SSD, or VSSD for short. The drives have rated read and write rates of up to 150MB/sec and 100MB/sec respectively, depending on which capacity model you buy.

The VSSD line comes in capacities as small as 8GB (kind of useless given it's too small for Vista and Windows 7, but avid XP users might like this one), moving up to 16GB, 32GB and 64GB sizes.

Super Talent gives the 8GB model an MSRP of $65, moving up to $175 for the top-end 64GB model.
