Chipworks tears down Apple A4 processor from the iPad
I ordered an iPad that came in over the weekend and I like the thing so far. I would not even think about tearing any of my gadgets apart just to see what's on the inside. Luckily, there are publications out there that will do that for us.

Chipworks has taken the Apple A4 from the iPad and dissected the processor to see what's under the hood. We already know the A4 is an ARM processor. The process of breaking the processor down involves sawing and heat.
In the end, we get a clear picture of what the inside of the chip looks like. Yeah it's cool, but it's hard to think of a $400 gadget meeting its demise so early in life.
