Asus unveils new netbook

HP and Dell might be thinking of getting out of the 10.1-inch netbook market, but Asus sure isn't. Asus continues on its path of offering a different netbook for every shopper. The company has unveiled a new Eee 1001PX netbook that you can get in a cool carbon fiber finish.

The machine has a 10.1-inch screen with a 1024 x 600 resolution and runs an Intel Atom N450 processor. It can be optioned with either 1GB or 2GB of RAM. Other features include a 160GB or 250GB HDD.

 

The netbook also has WiFi, optional Bluetooth, and a 0.3MP webcam. The standard 3-cell battery promises 4.5 hours of runtime and an optional 6-cell claims 9-hours of runtime.
