WD squeezes 750GB into Scorpio Blue series 2.5-inch HDD

Dual 375GB platters pave the way

| Storage News | Posted: Mar 31, 2010 7:10 am

WD has polished the top-end of its Scorpio Blue series of 2.5-inch sized hard disks with the introduction of a 750GB model that's made possible thanks to 375GB sized platters (x 2).

This is a standard height 2.5-inch sized drive and will therefore fit into pretty much any 2.5-inch bay of a notebook, netbook etc. with the SATA interface. WD's press release also makes multiple mention of it being one of the quietest 2.5-inch mechanical HDDs on the market.
