Wintek at fault in iPad delay?

By: (more) | Mobile Devices, Tablets & Phones News | Posted: Mar 19, 2010 6:00 pm

The iPad was originally expected to launch in March when it was first unveiled a month or so back. The device was then delayed after unnamed issues pushed the launch back.

A new report is laying the blame for the delay in the iPad at the feet of Wintek, an Apple supplier. According to said report, the reason for the delay was that Wintek had some sort of issue with the supply of its touch screens used in the device.

Wintek has issued a statement to the Taiwan Stock Exchange stating that all of its operations were running according to plans. The company offered no comments on specific Apple orders.
