Power efficiency is very important tin notebooks and desktops for different reasons. The notebook user wants an efficient machine for longer run time. Efficiency in a desktop means less power used and lowers electric bills.

Fujitsu has unveiled a new line of computers in the proGREEN family that are all power saving with power management features and power optimized CPUs. The Esprimo PC series includes the E9900 and P9900 that have 89% efficient power supplies and are Energy Star 5.0 certified.

The Lifebook E780 and S710 notebooks are 14-inch and 15.6-inch machined that are Energy Star 5.0 certified. They use LED backlit screens and the E780 with two batteries installed can run up to 18 hours per charge. The proGREEN workstations include the Celsius W280 and H700 with NVIDIA graphics. Both machines use Core i7 processors.
