Wacom tablet transforms into Cintiq with kit

By: (more) | Mobile Devices, Tablets & Phones News | Posted: Mar 15, 2010 3:37 pm

I am totally not a design person or an artist so the ability to draw on my PC screen has no allure for me. There are many out there who love their Wacom tablets and more than a few of them probably wish their tablet was a Cintiq display.

If you are one of these Cintiq liking geeks that can't drop the $1200 to get one, you can turn your Wacom tablet into one with a new kit and a few other parts. The kit includes some foam to cut spacers from and the enclosure.

The user has to provide the effort to build the display and the notebook LCD screen to use as the actual display. The enclosure kit along starts at over $221 with other parts still needed.
