There are lots of people out there who are massive consumers of digital content and media of all sorts. Many of us have digital media stored on several devices around our home networks including game console, notebooks, and desktop PCs.

Asus has debuted a new networked media player called the O!Play HD2. The player is the first to offer USB 3.0. That fast connectivity will presumably be to offer external storage and allow playback of content on external devices directly.

The HD2 also has a built-in memory card reader and eSATA port too. Full details on the device are missing right now, but we should learn all about the new HD2 in time.
