Flash 10.1 Beta 3 gets support for Intel GMA 500 and Broadcom Crystal HD
When you say Flash, I tend to think mostly about the iPhone and lack thereof. I would like to see the iPhone get Flash support, as would most owners but that is not likely to happen. Flash support has been added to a couple common netbook platforms and it is a great thing indeed.
Flash Player 10.1 Beta 3 is out and the new player offers hardware video acceleration for netbook users with machines running Intel GMA 500 graphics. Yeah, you read that right. This should mean that fans of Hulu and YouTube preferring HD resolutions can actually watch without going insane with skippage.
Dell Mini 10 users and owners of several other Sony, Asus, and Nokia machines should be dancing a jig right now. The player also supports Broadcom Crystal HD in some netbooks on the market. The software is still beta, so don't expect perfection, but this is good news.
