Lenovo X201, X201s, and X201 Tablet debut

Lenovo has pulled the wraps off several new computers today including a nice new X201 series that has three models. Two of the machines are almost the same with one being a convertible tablet notebook. All share the same 12.1-inch form factor and external DVD drives as options.

 

 

The X201 and X201s are virtually the same machine save weight, CPU options, and price. The X201 can be had with a Core i7-620M, i5-540M, or i5-520M. The X201s gets i7-640LM or i7-620 CPUs. Both machines have the same 12.1-inch WXGA LED screens and up to 8GB of RAM. Storage is up to 500GB 7200 rpm HDDs or 128GB SSDs. Graphics are via Intel HD and Bluetooth and WiFi are built-in. The X201 starts at $1,199 and the X201s starts at $1,599.

 

The X201 Tablet can be had with either the Core i7-640LM or 620LM processors. Three screens are available including the standard WXGA unit, an extra bright outdoor screen, or a multitouch screen. Graphics are via Intel HD and the machine has WiFi and a 2MP webcam. Pricing starts at $1,549.
