Adesso releases keyboard w/ touchpad for convenient HTPC use

By: (more) | HT & Movies News | Posted: Feb 17, 2010 6:17 am

A company based out of California named Adesso has just introduced a new wireless keyboard which includes a built-in touchpad which would make it a handy piece of kit for regular HTPC users etc.

Using 2.4GHz wireless, the SlimTouch Pro can work at up to a distance of 9.1 meters from the mini-USB receiver. It uses soft tactile membrane keys which reduces noise and gives a more comfortable typing feel. There are also 13 hotkeys on the board to open things like your internet browser and perform various multimedia tasks.

The GlidePoint touchpad does away with the need for a mouse, also including two mouse buttons beneath it. The unit is powered by a couple AAA batteries.

Adesso has the SlimTouch Pro available now on its website for $119.99.
