Wisair Wireless USB DisplayDock for Macs coming soon

By: (more) | Connectivity & Communications News | Posted: Feb 9, 2010 5:43 pm

Notebook users often buy a notebook for the portability it offers. However, in the home or office many of the same users want a larger keyboard and display to make for more comfortable working conditions. Wisair has announced a new wireless dock for Mac users that will be coming soon and will allow the best of both worlds for Apple fans.

The device is called the Wireless USB DisplayDock for Mac. Wisair reports that the dock will be coming from four different OEMs by the end of March. The system allows the user to connect an external LCD, keyboard, mouse, and speakers to the receiver and send video and audio from the transmitter on the notebook.

The device only needs a single USB port on the Mac system. That means you don't have to spend money on the expensive Apple adapters for your notebook to get external video. The device will work with all Mac OS versions and there is no word on pricing.
