Apple set to issue second iMac screen flicker fix

Is the second time a charm?

Apple has been making all-in-one computers for a lot longer than most companies. It unveiled the iMac line years ago and they have been successful. The new line of iMac computers includes a 27-inch and a 21.5-inch version.

The 27-inch version of the iMac has been plagued with screen issues. The screens have been arriving at their destinations with cracks and many users report issues with screen flickering. Reports are surfacing from owners who have called AppleCare techs about the screen flicker issue that a new fix is coming.

The new fix is reportedly going to be offered in about three weeks. It will be the second fix to attempt to remedy the flicker issue. The three-week estimate on the fix goes along with the three week delay in shipping the 27-inch unit, but Apple claims the two are not related.
