HP set to unveil notebooks with pico projector inside this year

By: (more) | Displays & Projectors News | Posted: Jan 21, 2010 5:58 pm

Pico projectors have been on the market for a while now and one of the universal issues is that they are not very bright. The lack of brightness means they work well in a dark room, but in a room with light, they are not very good.

HP is rumored to be working on a new line of notebooks and tablets set for launch this year that will sport built-in pico projectors. The projectors would reportedly be where the webcam is on the notebooks now.

I would think on the lid facing away from the user would be where the projector would need to go. I wonder if notebooks with these projectors would have a hump to hide all the gear, presumably they would. No other details are available.
