The folks at Digitimes have learned that ASUS are planning to release their first Ion 2 based Eee PC in April with a decent sized lineup of netbooks to follow throughout the year.

The company is looking to phase out its Atom N270 and N280 based Eee PCs by the end of Q2, whilst Atom N450 models are to said to take a price drop down to around NT$14,000.

There is also word of a 12-inch AMD Congo based Eee PC hitting the market in February priced at NT$18,000 as well as the rotatable 10-inch touchscreen Eee PC T101 unit becoming available around the same time.
