Sony gives more details on Vaio Z notebook
I talked a bit about the new Sony Vaio Z notebooks about a week ago during CES. At the time, we only had the most basic information on the ultraportable, but it sounded really cool. Sony has gone official with specs and a launch date for two Z models.
The machines both have Quad SSD storage writing data to four SSDs at the same time. The Z series will also use hybrid graphics with an NVIDIA GT 330M and Intel HD graphics. The high-end VPCZ11Z9E will use an Intel Core i7-620M CPU. It will also get 6GB of RAM, and 256GB of quad SSD storage. The 13.1-inch LCD has 1920 x 1080 resolution.
The VPCZ11X9E machine comes with Intel Core i7-520M CPU and 4GB of RAM. Its 13.1-inch LCD has a resolution of 1600 x 900. It uses 128GB of quad SSD storage and sports the same graphics combo. Both machines are set to ship at the end of March. Pricing is unknown at this time.
