CES 2010 - Netbooks have been big at CES since they first hit the market in 2007. A CES without new netbooks would be like Christmas without gifts. Sony has announced a new netbook called the Vaio W that is made from green materials.

The netbook sports a plastic case made form 23% recycled CDs. The carry case the netbook ships with is made from recycled PET bottles. The screen of the machine is a 10.1-inch unit with a resolution of 1366 x 768 and it is LED backlit.

Storage is to a 1GB HDD and Sony claims the battery is good for up to seven hours. The Sony website has versions of the W running both the N280 and the N450 CPU from Intel. The machines start at about $450 and will ship this month.
