With CES kicking off this week it's the time of year for new notebooks to be unveiled. Along with totally new machines, we also typically get a slew of existing machines with new hardware updates. Lenovo has updated several of its machines in time for CES.

The update notebooks include the ThinkPad T410s, T410, T510, and W510 notebooks. The T410s is a 14-inch machine that now has the option of Intel Core i5-520M and i5-540M CPUs. The machine can also be fitted with WiMax capability. The ThinkPad T410/510 notebooks add the Core i7-620M into the mix.

The bigger W510 gets the most interesting new hardware with a choice of Core i7-720QM, i7-820Q, and Core 2 Extreme i7-920XM processors. The W510 also gets a new NVIDIA Quadro FX 880M graphics option. The machines are set to hit January 7 with the new hardware with prices running from $99 to $1599 to start.
