Sony revives Vaio T series as CULV rigs

By: (more) | Laptops & Netbooks News | Posted: Dec 31, 2009 5:17 pm

A while back Sony killed off its Vaio T line of notebooks after they failed to do well in the market against the competition. It seems Sony is betting the machines are better a second time around and it has pulled the wraps of the Vaio T line again on its Japan website.

The new machines run Intel Celeron SU2300 or Intel Core 2 Duo SU9400/SU9600 CPUs. The machines can be fitted with up to 8GB of RAM and a 500GB HDD or 512GB SSD.

Operating system choices include any flavor of Windows 7 you desire and Blu-ray is an option. Sony promises that the machines will have a battery life of 11 hours with the standard battery and 17 hours with the extended battery.
