Vodafone has announced that it will start selling the iPhone in the UK in January 2010. The handset will be available on January 14 at different prices depending on the monthly plan. The cheapest plan will be £30 a month for 24 months with the iPhone 3G 8GB selling for £59 and the 32GB iPhone 3GS selling for £239.

The contracts will include 1GB of monthly data service, which is 250MB more than Orange allows its iPhone users. Vodafone will offer the 8GB 3G at no charge with a £35 monthly plan. Vodafone will also allow tethering of the iPhone for another £5 monthly.
