NZXT does away with front USB power woes

By: (more) | Connectivity & Communications News | Posted: Dec 11, 2009 3:42 am

NZXT has just launched a handy little internal USB expansion/controller which solves the many headaches that can come with trying to use front USB 2.0 ports with certain devices due to limiting power woes.

The IU101 Internal USB Expansion System boosts power to the front USB ports by connecting them directly to the power supply rather than the motherboard. Further to that is six additional ports on the PCB that are very handy for devices that are always plugged in such as Bluetooth modules, USB wireless routers etc. which in turn frees up external USB ports for other devices.

What makes it more attractive as a little handy extra for your system is its price, under 20 bucks U.S.

Check out the full PR here for further info folks.
