Terratek SoundSystem SiXPack 5.1+PCI Review

There's a new sound card out from a German manufacturer, but does it have what it takes to try to take on Creative and Hercules? To find out, just head on over to the Icronic site and check out their latest review of the Terratek SoundSystem SiXPack 5.1+PCI Sound Card. here's a snip:

 

As you can see, all the connectors you are likely to need are on the one card. Most convenient are three dedicated line outputs for the full 5.1 speaker complement, and. unlike some cards these outputs are not shared - you don't have to choose between Digital out and the third speaker pair. Another feature you won't find on many cards is a headphone amplifier. By changing a jumper on the card you can set the line in output to be a headphone out - this includes enough amplification to drive even 300 ohm headphones using a simple pair of LM386 op-amps."
