ASUS Eee PC 1008P Designer Netbook is Pine Trail driven

Ready for a Feb'10 launch

Details have come in which confirm ASUS' upcoming Eee PC 1008P-KR is in fact based around Intel's Pine Trail platform. ASUS call this particular model the the "Designer" edition which was built by Karim Rashid.

Running over the specs, it sports a 10.1-inch display, PineView Atom N450 CPU (running at 1.8GHz), 1GB of memory, 160GB HDD, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth, 1.3MP webcam and chiclet keyboard.

ASUS will begin shipping the unit in February 2010 with Windows 7 Starter Edition installed. Color choices are said to be Hot Pink or Gold Brown.

 

Pricing is yet to be confirmed, but it's expected it'll come in at around the $300-$400 mark.
