Asus adding Support for System "tweaking" from a Bluetooth enabled Phone

By: (more) | Mobile Devices, Tablets & Phones News | Posted: Dec 1, 2009 6:24 pm

Have you ever wanted to bump up the clock on your system but just could not get off the couch to do it? Well, have no fear as Asus plans to allow you to do it directly from your BlueTooth enabled phone (pause here for a few "There's an App" for that Jokes). This new functionality will show up on their top of the line, flagship Republic of Gamers, Maximus Extreme III motherboard.

The new feature will be called RC Bluetooth. It should allow control over the ROG Maximus II as well as the ability to monitor the status of the system. This all leads to the possibility of more direct control over the system. Can you imagine using your iPhone as a controller for gaming? Or for music control? Although I am not entirely sure about this feature it certainly bears watching and is one that we will be trying to find out more about.
