Intel six-core Gulftown benchmarks online

By: (more) | CPU, APU & Chipsets News | Posted: Nov 23, 2009 12:41 pm

The folks over at PCGamesHardware have been lucky enough to get hold of a six-core Gulftown processor several months ahead of release and they've kindly submitted their experience with it for all to see today.

The article first goes into heavy detail about the 32nm Westmere architecture behind Intel's Gulftown prior to firing up their test system and benchmarking the platform in several application and game tests including x264HD, CINEBENCH, Far Cry 2, Resident Evil 5 and more.

I won't spoil it; head on over and check out the results for yourself.
