Initial pricing on AMD's HD 5970 shows up

Some more concrete evidence of the launch pricing on AMD's next big dual-GPU badboy, the HD 5970 has come to light. It looks like $599.99 U.S. will be what's required to get your hands on one initially, as per this early listing over at ZipZoomFly.




Not too over the top when you consider it'll be the fastest card the market has to offer, at least until NVIDIA's Fermi card arrives sometime in Q1 of next year. We'll have our review online of the card using our new extended Windows 7 / DX11 benchmark suite as soon as the NDA lifts in a mere couple days now; stay tuned!
