First benchmark runs of Lucid's Hydra 200 chip really impress

By: (more) | Software News | Posted: Nov 12, 2009 12:45 pm

Preview runs of Lucid's highly impressive Hydra 200 chip have started surfacing on the web this week, with reports of the chips being incorporated into MSI's Big Bang series Fuzion motherboard, pushed back to a launch date sometime in Q1 of next year.

The results seen from this chip are indeed impressive, allowing users to mix NVIDIA and ATI graphics cards for significantly increased graphics performance. Keep in mind, however, that the driver support and board used for testing is all still very premature and results will of course be improved upon by the time Lucid's chip is ready for the mass market. Check out the impressive benchmark results using a different mix of graphics cards at the following sites :-
