Samsung X Series Thin and light notebooks detailed

By: (more) | Laptops News | Posted: Sep 3, 2009 4:49 pm

You know, I really have to wonder what is going to happen to the netbook if and when the "thin and light" ntoebooks get off the ground.

For example take a look at the new Samsung X Series. These are 11.6 - 14.6 inch books that in many cases weigh less (as little as 3 ounces) than a standard netbook but have greater performance and power. Battery life has been increased to an impressive 9 hours on paper.

Yet under the hood sits a dual core CULV CPU and a GPU capable of some decent resolutions. Of course the price on them is much higher (about three times that of your average netbook) but still as people are looking for more portability but do not want to sacrifice power these should become more popular.
