Westmere to show up at IDF 2009

By: (more) | Trade Shows News | Posted: Aug 21, 2009 5:59 pm

New things will be showing up at TDF 2009. These new things will include Westmere.

Westmere will be an interesting device that will feature two 32nm Cores with 4MB of cache, a memory controller, and a 45nm GPU "core". This new package will be the basis for future Core i3, i5 and i7 CPUs.

Westemere will have Hyper Threading and Turbo Boost just like Nehalem but will only support Dual Channel memory from the information we have.

For your viewing pleasure Ken Kaplan has a couple of video's up to show off some of the new toys that Intel will show off at IDF 2009.
