By: (more) | CPU, APU & Chipsets News | Posted: Aug 7, 2009 1:26 pm

We have talked a little about Tegra and its potential impact on the PMP, MID, and Smartphone market. But what we have not told you has been unconfirmed information that Tegra is going to be a major push for nVidia in the future.

There have been rumors but until now we have not had additional conformation. Fudo over at Fudzilla has this extra confirmation.

Jensen Huang, is saying that nVidia is moving towards Tegra as larger portion of the company's efforts that in the past. This is apparent by the fact that nVidia has managed to get Tegra inside the Zune HD. There are also rumors that Tegra will be under the hood of more than a few smart phones next year.

The Tegra represents a bright spot for nVidia in both the near and long term. This with the first generation product, when the newer Tegra 2 hits we should see an even greater improvement. So look for the nVidia label on new smart phones and PMPs coming out in 2010. We will bring you more information on Tegra as it comes out.
