Intel's Six-Core Xeon Codenamed Westmere is making some headlines today from a couple of leaked engineering samples.

According to an article over at Electronista, the samples still show up as Core i7 but in the end should be referred to as the Xeon W5590. These CPUs will have six physical cores, hyperthreading, 12MB of shared L3 cache, and 256k cache per core.

These CPU should show up sometime in 2010 in workstations, servers, Mac Pro's etc.
