AMD releases Catalyst 9.7 for Vista/Windows 7

Not on their site yet though

| Software News | Posted: Jul 23, 2009 1:00 pm

Time to get your Windows 7 ATi loving; AMD has shoved their first Windows 7 Certified drivers out the door in time with the RTM of the next MS OS.

The new 9.7 driver suite has a couple of nice tweak up their sleeve in addition to being certified for Window 7.

Crysis fans looking to run in High-Quality mode on a 4800 series GPU will get a nice 8% performance boost.

Lost Planet Colonies and 8x Anti-Aliasing will get between 7-11% on the 4800 series.

ATI Video converter is now supported in Windows 7 (both x86 and x64)

There are also some new OpenGL Extensions added in.

9.7 drivers are not out for Windows XP as of this writing but should be out shortly according to AMD.

Despite their release these drivers have not made it up on AMD's driver pages just yet, however you can grab the 32 bit and 64 bit versions over at TechPowerUp.
