32nm Clarkdale looking for Q4 09 launch
In the race to 32nm HKMG (High-K metal gate) we see Intel leaping ahead of the others as rumors of 32nm Clarkdale for Q4 2009 hit the net.
According to Digitimes the original mass-production launch was set for Q1 2010. Now it looks like Itel wants to beat GlobalFoundries (and in turn AMD) by launching this year.
Intel has (for the most part) maintained the leadership in CPU process shrinks over AMD. AMD working with GlobalFoundries will begin 32nm by mid 2010 with mass production around Q4 2010.

It's just a rumor, but DigiTimes has pretty decent sources within Taiwan's motherboard industry. So what was a Q1 2010 mass production launch of Clarkdale CPUs is now rumored to be coming in Q4, notable as the first Intel CPU to use its new 32nm process technology with an integrated memory controller and graphics core built on a 45nm process. This jibes with what DailyTECH and others were reporting back in Feburary.
