WD 2TB Drive With 64MB Cache Spotted

Akiba PC Hotline spotted a new 2TB offering from Western Digital in the form of a 2TB drive.

 

WD 2TB Drive With 64MB Cache Spotted

 


Western Digital has upped the onboard cache of the 2TB Caviar Black hard drive, doubling it to 64MB. Presumably this is an effort by WD to increase the write performance of the drive.

 

Guru3D says that the drive should be available in the next few weeks around the world, but it looks like the folks in Japan are getting first crack at it.
