Belkin launches 1Gbps Power Line adapter
For those of you that use PowerLine adapters there is some great news.
It looks like Belkin is going to push out a Gigabit PowerLine kit. This is a huge improvement over the current 100Mbp/s adapters out right now.
the should run you about $150, this is a little more than the current kits but then again the speed is much greater as well.
The full speed is not a guarantee (like wireless) but is a maximum, although Belkin does say that with three or more adapters the speed and stability should be improved due to the mesh configuration that three plus adapters create.

The kit consists of a router adapter matched by another for a target device's Ethernet port. Computers, consoles and other hardware can thus tap into a home's powerline LAN, although Belkin notes that the kit does not handle routing functions by itself.
The kit is claimed to be the fastest available for powerline networks, as a result of streaming at a maximum of 1Gbps instead of a more typical 200Mbps. Actual speeds are dependent on factors like traffic and electrical interference, though performance is said to be consistently stable.
