Intel Has Q9505 Yorkfield In The Works

Intel is getting ready to laucnh a new Core 2 Quad CPU, the Q9505. The Q9505 is set to be a replacement for the Q9400 and is simply a gimped version of the Q9550. The Q9550 runs at 2.83GHz with a 95W TPD and 12MB of cache while the Q9505 hold the same specs except for it only has 6MB of cache.

The Q9505 should cost $212 at launch. The 2.66GHz Lynnfield is expected to come in right around the $260 mark and might just be a better deal since it will come with Hyperthreading and the single core turbo overclocking.
