Patriot Memory has announced that the company will be expanding their product lines and soon be offering the Corza NAS unit.

The Corza is a dual-bay unit that supports 3.5" hard drives up to 2TB in size, offering up to 4TB of storage. Storage can be configured in RAID 0, RAID 1, or JBOD offering speed, redundancy, or ease of use.

Patriot says that the Corza will offer Gigabit Ethernet to support the streaming of multimedia, however it is not sure as to whether it will act as a media server. It will however offer an FTP server for access to files anywhere there is an internet connection available.

Patriot seems to be playing its cards close on this one and hasn't offered up any more information, not even a picture of the device or memory specifications. It wouldn't be surprising to see at least a prototype on display at Computex however.

"Storage network devices, like the Corza, will be the next mainstream consumer product," says Saeed Arash Far, Patriot's Engineering Manager. "Much like the home computer or VCRs revolutionized the 1980's and 1990's, home networks are continuing to grow and expand. The typical home has multiple systems and users, Corza allows you to connect all those computers to one network. No longer will you have to use portable devices; such as, USBs or SD cards to transfer data from computer to computer. Store it all on your home network and access it from any computer on the internet."
