Acer seems to be working on a new Aspire One netbook and hopes that this one will be able to handle high definition content.

The new netbook will the Quartics' QV1721 multimedia coprocessor which will be dedicated to decoding and encoding full 1080p content. The kicker is that the Aspire One 571 will only have a 10.1" screen with a maximum res of 1280x720.

Acer's Aspire One 571 will feature the Intel Atom N280 processor, running at 1.66GHz. It will also have a Vmedia disc drive that is placed just to the left of the touchpad. As of now the 32mm media can only hold up to a gig of data, but two gig versions are coming soon. Expect Acer to be showing this one off at Computex.
