Jen-Hsun Huang says nVidia 40nm Ramp "fine"

With the 40nm race on in full force nVidia seems to be the ones left out right now. But according to Jen-Hsun Huang the 40nm ramp is going just "fine"

 

Just exactly what fine is no one seems to know. There are reports that TSMC are still having leakage in the 40nm parts (especially with the larger Die sizes). If this is true then larger and higher power 40nm GPUs are a long way off.

 

While Huang makes the comment things are fin he goes on to say that nVidia is pushing 40nm harder than anyone he does not comment on the little fact that ATi has both mobile and desktop 40nm parts out and on the shelves.

Jen-Hsun Huang: "Let's see - the ramp is going fine. It's during the - you know, we are ramping 40-nanometer probably harder than anybody and so we have three products in line now in 40-nanometer and more going shortly. So there's - this is a very important node. TSMC is working very hard.
