Jen-Hsun Huang says nVidia 40nm Ramp "fine"

By: (more) | Posted: May 11, 2009 3:47 pm

With the 40nm race on in full force nVidia seems to be the ones left out right now. But according to Jen-Hsun Huang the 40nm ramp is going just "fine"

Just exactly what fine is no one seems to know. There are reports that TSMC are still having leakage in the 40nm parts (especially with the larger Die sizes). If this is true then larger and higher power 40nm GPUs are a long way off.

While Huang makes the comment things are fin he goes on to say that nVidia is pushing 40nm harder than anyone he does not comment on the little fact that ATi has both mobile and desktop 40nm parts out and on the shelves.
