Global Foundries to take first 32nm Orders in Q4

AMD spinoff Global Foundries is going to start taking orders for 32nm parts in Q4 of this year (2009).

 

Global Foundries has stated before that it wants to make the push to 32nm as soon as possible. This is an attempt to get to 32nm before TSMC.

 

Designs for 32nm will be taken in Q4 with the first silicon to hit in early 2010.

Global Foundries to take first 32nm Orders in Q4

Globalfoundries, rebelled part of AMD that went away and formed a new manufacturing company has plans to take its first 32nm orders in Q4 2009.

 

The company will be accepting designs in Q4 and if all goes well the designs will turn into chips in 2010, and we can only hope that this will take place in early 2010 rather than in late.
