RV740 could show up in May

Our sources have confirmed that RV740, ATI's first 40nm card is set to come in May timeframe. ATI will dig a bit deeper in Q2 before it launches but as we could see from a leaked review, the hardware is already ready.

The company wants to ramp up production of 40nm products and it wants to give the first 40nm chips to notebooks manufactures, as 40nm GPU for notebooks have been announced as of Cebit. Asus is the first manufacture with ATI's 40nm GPU inside.
