GTS240 looks to be nothing more than a 55nm G92

nVidia is at the rebranding table again, this time VR-Zone has the full details.

 

After the debacle over the GTS250 with HardOCP nVidia is still looking to push out more 55nm G92s with little more to them than a name change and a nice price increase.

 

This would seem to be the case with the GTS240, according to technical drawings that VRZone has obtained the new GTS 240 will be a 55nm G92 based 9800GT on a new PCB. nVidia seems to have improved the power usage but not much more has been changed.

New GTS240 looks to be nothing more than a 55nm G92

It is basically 55nm G92 based 9800 GT GPU on a new P361 PCB and internally Nvidia calls it D10P2. Now we will provide you a glimpse on the schematic diagram of the GTS 240 card. The differences are mainly on the power design department.
