New Thermaltake HTPC Cases Coming Soon
Behind the scenes there is a lot of buzz going on about the upcomming Thermaltake LUXA2, pronounced LUXA squared. Originally unveiled at Computex 2008, very few details have been revealed about their upcomming line of luxurious HTPC cases. Two HTPC cases are known to exist, the LUXA2 300 and LUXA2 100.
Thermaltake is treating this lineup as something extra special as the LUXA2 even has its own dedicated website so the HTPC community might very well have something to get excited about. From what we've heard, the wesbite has started its final countdown for the launch so keep your eyes and ears open for more information in the near future.
The LUXA2 300 is a larger, full sized HTPC designed for systems utilizing an ATX motherboard and features a 7 inch graphical VFD.
The LUXA2 100 has been designed for mini-ITX systems. It will have an optional 5.5 inch blue VFD, room for a single 3.5" drive, a single slim DVD drive, and a 100W PSU.
UPDATE
The LUXA2 website is NOW LIVE and we can see why Thermaltake has been keeping their lips sealed on it. Thermaltake has introduced a complete line of HTPC cases that cater to the tastes of the entry level HTPC user, the enthusiast, and everywhere inbetween.
Currently there are five new HTPC cases to choose from and at least one more on the way in the near future. A few of the models differ slightly in that you have your choice of a blue VFD or a full color touch-screen display. Also included in the LUXA2 lineup are some beautifully finished laptop coolers both for at the desk and on the go.
