Asus and Garmin to Launch Eee Phone

Could use Android OS

We told you before that Asus and Garmin were going to be launching a GPS-Centric Smart Phone at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Well it seems that is not the limit of their collaboration.

 

Asus plans to launch an Eee Phone, based off of the popular EeePC line.
The new Eee Phone will be a low cost smart phone and may possibly be loaded with Google's Android OS.

 

There are no official dates for launch and no pricing was given. Asus and Garmin should launch an additional Phone at the Mobile World Congress but no details have surfaced about this new device.
