Qimonda needs buyer by the end of March
Qimonda memory is in serious financial trouble. According to the Sydney Morning Herald, they are going to cut production and if they cannot find a buyer by the end of March they might be forced to shut down.
The production cuts will be roughly 75% of normal values. Qimonda filed for bankruptcy protection on January 23rd and was denied rescue money after a deal with Infineon, Saxony and Portugal fell through.
Qimonda has had several negative quarters that have accelerated the problems they face today.
